Chopperchats is the media channel of Steve Wright, a San Diego native that started action sports brands like No Fear, Life’s A Beach, and Spy Sunglasses. Rcaing tricycles in the 80s gave him a career start where he formed relationships with some of the industry leaders to this day. After his successful stint of lifestyle companies, he discovered his love for flying helicopters in 2005, when he joined a small group of people in the industry and realized the impact they have on society as a whole. This podcast aims to share his learnings and network of close friends.

Jim McCoy is a businessman, pilot, and hangar-mate with Steve. Jim grew up in San Diego and has started many large-scale businesses including the biggest watersport rental group in Southern California. He discovered his passion for helicopters through Steve almost 17 years ago and is now juggling multiple full-time ventures on land, sea, and air. He is also known as one of the leading experts on stabilized aerial camera systems like Cineflex and Shotover, where he has logged hundreds of hours for clients like Red Bull, Monster, and much more.

Devin Chatterjie is a professional with a passion for action sports. Since the age of seven, he has been racing motorcycles and continues to compete in various motorsport disciplines, skydiving, snowboarding, mountain biking, and piloting classic tailwheel airplanes. In 2013, Devin met Stevie and Jim while racing in the Baja 1000 and has since partnered with them as their cinematographer on many wild helicopter adventures. Devin is currently pursuing his commercial helicopter and flight instructor rating to inspire future generations of aviators.

Eric Ward is involved in the startup industry working full-time at a venture capital firm, creating disruptive content for a wide variety of clients. On the weekends, he’s hacking new projects and expanding his network into areas like aviation, where he aims to tell high-quality stories from successful individuals. He met Steve and Jim in 2022 and wanted to document their unique lifestyle of being a helicopter pilot. Through the process, Chopper Chats was born and a pilot license for Eric is now on the horizon.
